The adidas ESSNOVA CARBON CTRL LD Pickleball Paddle is designed for intermediate and advanced players who desire easy controllable power on all swing types, coupled with a smoother and more comfortable feel, and a wider traditional shape paddle face with a center sweet spot. Featuring a low-density polypropylene honeycomb core that reduces vibration and enhances a smooth feel on every shot, as well as a Carbon Fiber 3K surface for intermediate flexibility to boost power on high-speed shots and promote control on low-speed shots or static position blocks. The Spin Blade tech helps to grip pickleballs for explosive slices and ball placement. The ESSNOVA CARBON CTRL HD has a weight range of 7.7-8.2 oz and middle-bias weighting, improving maneuverability.

Compared to the ESSNOVA CARBON ATTK paddle, it utilizes the same material composition but features a wider face and center sweet spot for enhanced ball control, blocking, and maneuverability. Compared to the ESSNOVA CARBON HD, it uses a lower-density, softer core for more ball control with less peak power but improved comfort and reduced vibration. The paddle is USA Pickleball Association (formerly USAPA) approved for sanctioned tournament play.
